WHY THIS CHOICE ?
Because the Port Louis Theatre is a very important Heritage, not only for its high architectural qualities but also for the intense cultural life which took place within its walls from 1822, date of its inauguration, to 2005, when it finally closed. Also the Port Louis Theatre is one of the Landmarks of our Capital City.
We have worked harded to prepare this study, with the hope that the Mauritian Public and the Authorities will realize the potential that this masterpiece of our “Patrimoine” possesses and the importance to re-give life to OUR LONG-FORGOTTEN THEATRE.
